Franz Hopper

Appearance Being extremely vulnerable outside of the Digital Sea, Franz Hopper will come out of hiding only to save [Aelita] (77 #lw_aelita) from a fatal fall in the Virtual Ocean. The creator of Lyoko will then appear in the form of a [color] {white} white sphere [color] in the 'Virtual Card'. He will drop his daughter off on the nearest platform and then let himself slide back into the Digital Sea. The only case where Franz won't come to save Aelita is if the young girl falls into the Digital Sea of a sector that is being destroyed. The ['Human Envelope'] window (62) will also open to show you how many [label] {green-light} health points [label] the character has.
{: #franzHopper_disparition} Disappearance
Unlike the lyoko warriors, Franz Hopper cannot be rematerialized on Earth via scanners. For example, if the creator of Lyoko loses all of these [label] {green-light} [label] health points [label] in fight, then he will die in the virtual world. If this happens, of course, Franz can't come and save Aelita from falling into the Digital Sea, or help you finish deciphering her journal.

Once 85% of the decryption of the Franz Hopper's journal has been completed, the creator of Lyoko will take control of the tower you are using in order to speed up the [decryption program] (42 #diaryf_decipher) and block any attempt to take control by X.A.N.A. Once a tower is controlled by X.A.N.A. Franz, he retains the monopoly until it is [destroyed] (72 #tower_destruction), or until a Return to the Past is carried out. Note, however, that X.A.N.A. will systematically attempt to destroy any tower controlled by Franz Hopper by sending [megatanks] (78 #monster_megatank) to attack it.

Outside of the Digital Sea, Franz Hopper is extremely vulnerable. Indeed, with its incomplete virtual form, the creator of Lyoko has no way of attacking his opponents. These only actions in combat will therefore be defensive. Note that if Franz is alone in combat, these turns of action will last much longer than if he is accompanied, to save you time to send reinforcements to him.
Regain
In combat, Franz will always use the 'Regain' ability during his turn of action. The effect of the latter will adapt according to the number of [label] {yellow} action points [label] that the scientist has.
Point of life By
default, the'Regain'ability gives up to [label] {green-light} 40 health points [label] back to Franz Hopper against [label] {label|yellow} 2 points of action [label].Action Points
If Franz Hopper does not have enough action points to regenerate HP, 'regain' will cause him to regain [label] {label=yellow} /1 action point [label].

You can locate Franz Hopper when he is in a virtual world using the 'Virtual Map'. Locating Franz will automatically open the ['Human Envelope'] window (62) linked to the character.

Superscan Just like for Jérémie and X.A.N.A., the Superscan is capable of searching to find any tower activated by Franz Hopper.

Envelope Not having a physical body on Lyoko, Franz Hopper does not have a communication card like the other characters, but a ['Human Envelope'] window (62) showing the percentage of [label] {green-light|green-} health points [[label] by the creator of Lyoko. This window will open automatically when Franz leaves the Digital Sea.
{: #franzHopper_diary} Franz Hopper's journal Franz Hopper
's journal consists of multiple video files recorded by the scientist himself during the entire construction phase of the factory's computer complex, but also of X.A.N.A. and [Lyoko] (74 #virtualWorld_lyoko). To access the log files, you must first decrypt the various log entries using the [decryption program] (42 #diaryf_decipher) available from the second floor interface of the [crossing towers] (72 #tower_type). See the tutorial 'Decrypting Franz Hopper's Diary' to learn more about this procedure.
Once decrypted, you can access Franz's journal using the command [JournalF]. The Supercomputer will play each video file from a 'Video Journal' window. Finally, note that even after fully decrypting the log, some entries will continue to be unreadable.
